this study aimed to investigate the spiritual experiences of people with gender dysphoria The search method was descriptive phenomenography in the forensic field of the south of Iran. 10 participants with Gender Dysphoria (4 biological females and 6 biological males) were selected by purposeful snowballing and were interviewed in-depth and semi-structured. Data were analyzed using the qualitative content analysis technique. In axial coding, while comparing categories and codes with each other, their relationship was examined, and finally, the main theme of desire for spirituality followed by general categories titled Resort, Acceptance, Destiny, and Relaxation was extracted from data analysis. Results showed that the spiritual experiences of transgender people cover a wide range of principles. The participants in the study cited the feelings of insecurity, fear of loneliness, and Finding identity as their main reasons for paying attention to spirituality. Findings suggest that in addition to the physical need, the spiritual dimension of transgender people’, s lives must be carefully considered to ensure their individual and social health.

Background :The present study aimed to investigate the phenomenology of family support in the experiences of transsexual individuals and to address gaps in understanding minority experiences in Iran. Methods :This qualitative study involved a statistical population of 15 individuals with gender dysphoria, nominated by the Tehran Institute of Psychiatry. Purposive sampling was employed to select participants of varying ages to achieve data saturation. Interviews were conducted, and the text was analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis method. The research questions focused on significant life events and turning points, particularly the stage of gender reassignment surgery. Results :The categories extracted include: "Conditions that influence one's experience of being transsexual", "transsexuals influence on aspects of one's life", "one's experiences of transsexual phenomena", "one's reaction to perceiving one's transsexual", "a person's family reaction when they found out their child is transsexual", "a person's family's reaction to his or her gender change surgery", "family behavior and reaction after surgery", "a person's reaction to family behavior after surgery", and "one's action on surgery and the impact of that action on his or her family's attitudes". Conclusions :These extracted categories provide a framework to evaluate the future turning points in the lives of transsexual individuals, specifically focusing on gender reassignment surgery.

Gender dysphoria disorder has passed a long journey in the history of psychiatry and psychology. The symptomatology, diagnostic criteria and intervention methods of this disorder was related to the concept of gender identity and the advances of medicine. Each of biological, psychological and socio-cultural approaches was stressed on different variables on the emergence of gender dysphoria disorder. Literature showed that individuals with gender dysphoria disorder have other psychological problems such as anxiety, depression and familial maladjustments. Some individuals have personality disorders ormaladaptive personality characteristics too. While gender variation is the only solution to helping people with gender dysphoria but social persuasion, inclination of individual and family for surgery, and adjustment with new gender identity during post-operation needs to application of various psychological interventions.

The aim of this study was to present a case of gender identity disorder (GID) which is called dysphoria identity in DSM-5. Method of study was case study a type of qualitative study. Using qualitative method besides quantitative ones and description of biological, familial, social, and cultural circumstances play an important role in figuring out the probable causes and therefore appropriate preventional measures and treatment. by interviewing and exploring the growth environment we concluded that the following factors played crucial roles in the history of the disorder: being influenced by behavioral model of opposite sex, receiving social reinforcement of opposite sex, male dominant family environment, receving positive feedback in men’s clothes and behaviors.

Gender dysphoria (GD) is described as a distressing and persistent confl, ict between one’, s at-birth-assigned sex and gender identity. Treatments used for transsexuals are composed of a set of psychiatric assessments, as well as hormonal and surgical procedures, resulting in changes in physical appearance and the function of sexual organs for facilitating the transition to the opposite sex (1). GD is a society and culture-related issue. It is required to take the approval of the Court (e. g., Italy) or the Health Ministry (e. g., Sweden) in some countries, and gender surgery is not allowed in most Islamic countries (2).
